Scott Henderson
Henderson formed the band Tribal Tech in 1984 with bassist Gary Willis, and after nine critically acclaimed albums, with the newest \"Rocket Science\" released on the ESC/Tone center label in November 2000, Henderson has proven himself as a world class player and composer. In 1991, he was named by Guitar World as the #1 Jazz Guitarist, and in January 1992, he was named #1 Jazz Guitarist in Guitar Player\'s Annual Reader\'s Poll. His first solo blues album \"Dog Party\", a welcome retreat to his musical roots, won best blues album of 1994 in Guitar Player.
Scott Kinsey
Scott Kinsey is a keyboardist best known for his work with the jazz fusion group Tribal Tech and for his contributions to soundtracks for major motion pictures, notably Ocean\'s Eleven and Ocean\'s Twelve. Kinsey\'s first solo CD project, \"Kinesthetics\", was released in 2006 on Abstract Logix. In addition to his work with Tribal Tech (featuring Scott Henderson and Gary Willis), Kinsey has performed and recorded with many artists and groups including guitarist Joe Walsh, Dan Aykroyd, philanthropist Paul Allen, flamenco vocalist Concha Buika, James Moody, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Philip Bailey, Anne Sofie von Otter, Bill Evans, Robben Ford, Jimmy Earl, Gary Willis, WDR Big Band, Serj Tankian (System of a Down), David Holmes & The Free Association, Joe Zawinul, Danny Carey (Tool), Norrbotten Big Band, Tim Hagans, Bob Belden, Nicholas Payton & Sonic Trance, Matt Garrison, and the fusion group Uncle Moe\'s Space Ranch with guitarist T. J. Helmerich.
Gary Willis
Gary Willis is an American bassist and composer known foremost as the co-founder (with Scott Henderson) of the jazz fusion band Tribal Tech. Aside from his work in Tribal Tech, Willis has worked with numerous other jazz musicians including Wayne Shorter, Dennis Chambers, and Allan Holdsworth. \"Slaughterhouse 3\", released in 2006, continued his collaboration with drummer Kirk Covington as well as saxophonist Llibert Fortuny to form a modern jazz/funk/groove power-trio. Willis\'s latest solo CD \"Actual Fiction\" was released on the Abstractlogix label in 2007.
In addition to \"Actual Fiction\", Willis\'s solo career includes No Sweat from 1996 and Bent in 1998. Willis is also the author of four books for bass guitar, \"Fingerboard Harmony for Bass\", \"The Gary Willis Collection\", \"Ultimate Ear Training for Guitar and Bass\" and \"101 Bass Tips\" all published by Hal Leonard.
Kirk Covington
Kirk Covington is a drummer and occasional singer, best known for his work with the jazz fusion group Tribal Tech. Born in Midland, Texas, he attended the highly regarded University of North Texas College of Music where he met bassist Gary Willis, with whom he later joined Tribal Tech. Covington has also performed or recorded with other noted musicians including Joe Zawinul, Robben Ford, Allan Holdsworth, Scott Henderson, and John Humphrey.
Between 1998 and 2006 Covington toured with Scott Henderson and bass player John Humphrey as a trio. In 2003 they recorded Well To The Bone, as well as a live album in 2005. Covington continues to play with former Tribal Tech partner Scott Kinsey, is a member of the group VOLTO! where he also plays keyboards, and in 2008 formed his own trio, \"CPT KIRK\", with keyboardist Scott Tibbs and bassist Rufus Philpot.
